Over the years since I first got into skincare, I have been through so many different products. I have had some really terrible ones that have done nothing for me and I have had others that have made my skin even worse. Luckily, I have now found the cosmetic ingredients that agree with my skin and I am able to choose my products based on this.

CBD
One ingredient that I have been trying out recently in my skincare is CBD. There are so many different brands offering CBD products but my favourite brand, Revolution Skincare have a cleanser that I love. I have been using the Revolution Skincare CBD Gentle Cream Cleanser as a second cleanse. Once I have washed my makeup off, I will use this just to make sure there’s no traces of makeup or dirt left on my skin. I have found that this cleanser leaves my skin feeling really smooth and clean. It doesn’t dry my skin out like a lot of cleansers tend to do and it doesn’t irritate it in anyway. I am tempted to try more of the CBD range now that I have got on well with this cleanser.

Rose and Green Tea
Another cosmetic ingredient that I have found works for me is rose. I have tried several different toners in the past that have had rose water in it which has made my skin really clear and even. I have found that anything that has rose in really makes a big difference to my overall complexion. Another similar ingredient is green tea – while I might not like to drink it, it works wonders on my skin!

As a big fan of face masks, I always make sure I pick ones out that have great ingredients in. One of my favourite brands for sheet masks is Missha. I have recently chosen the Missha Airy Fit Green Tea sheet mask which is one I have used several times before. I like to use a sheet mask once a week as a bit of a pamper, it makes my skin look really glowy and I always feel like it’s really hydrated after too.
Doing my research on skincare has really helped. I now only buy things that I think will actually work and I tend to steer clear of trends. I have lost count of the amount of times I bought a trending product only for it to ruin my skin!
