As I’m sure you are already aware, I spent my 27th birthday in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, Florida. This is something that I had wanted to do every since I was a little girl, so it was a dream come true for me. We arrived in Florida at around 3pm on October 4th, so the first night was spent just exploring Disney Springs and recovering from our long journey. Our first full day in Florida was my birthday!

We arrived at Magic Kingdom just before 7:45am to see the welcome show, which I wasn’t very impressed with if I’m honest. As it was my birthday, I would have preferred to have spent a bit longer getting ready and eating my birthday cake oreos in bed. Once we actually got into the park, we saw Snow White so I had my photo taken with her and got her to sign a huge birthday magnet that I had been given. We then had a couple of hours until our breakfast reservation, so Kariss and I took advantage of the fact that there were no queues and we went on a few rides including Peter Pan’s Flight and It’s A Small World. We also managed to meet Ariel in her grotto!

Breakfast was at Crystal Palace where I finally got to meet Winnie The Pooh after years of waiting. I also got my first taste of pomegranate lemonade and buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy. I completely fell in love with Disney’s buffet breakfasts! One of the servers bought me out a cupcake with a candle in and a birthday card that was signed by Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet which was really special. I also got the four of them to sign my birthday magnet too.
After Crystal Palace, we went on a few more rides. I used my fast passes for The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh and Splash Mountain. It was so hot and the weather was a bit of a shock to me – I’ve never had a birthday in 30 degree heat before! I managed to catch the castle show in between rides and I just had to get the above shot of my Winnie The Pooh ears with the castle.

At 3pm, I got a good spot for the Festival of Fantasy parade right outside Starbucks on Main Street. I’d heard so much about this parade so was glad that I could catch it on my birthday. I really enjoyed seeing Belle and the Beast and the Seven Dwarfs as they’re not in any of the Disneyland Paris parades.
After the parade, I decided to go back to our room as I was so tired from the early start and just wanted to relax for a bit, get out of the heat and have a shower before I had to be back in Magic Kingdom for our dinner reservation at Be Our Guest.

Be Our Guest was amazing, it was just like I imagined and I loved how the napkins were folded into roses. I ended up taking my napkin home and I have it on my desk in my bedroom as a reminder of my birthday. The food was fantastic, I had steak and chips and then ‘the grey stuff’ for dessert. I think that was probably one of the best meals I had while I was in America! After the meal we had our photos taken with the Beast and then went back to our hotel room to get some well needed sleep.
