Coats are my thing. Or one of my things. I don’t know where it started, but over the years I seem to have amassed a large number of coats and jackets. I counted them all recently and I have at least 25. That is way too many for one person and I’m definitely going to have to sort out what I’ve got and stick a few on eBay. At this time of year, you only need a couple of different coats – a waterproof one for those inevitable rainy days, a really warm one for when it starts to get chilly and a lighter one for those in between days. The newest coat in my collection is from Fashion World, somewhere I’d never shopped before. When they asked if I would like to review one of their coats, I saw it as a chance to get something for the autumn months. Luckily, I managed to find a transitional coat for the days it’s not cold enough for your winter gear.

The perfect transitional coat
Since I received this coat from Fashion World, I’ve worn it almost every day. Unless it’s been raining, this single breasted camel coat has been my go to. One thing I especially love about this coat is the way it smartens up any outfit. I have worn it casually to go shopping, I’ve worn it to meetings and I’ve worn it to the pub. I’ll be wearing it to any job interviews I may have. At this time of year where the temperature is anything from 7 degrees to 23 (seriously, what’s going on?) you need a coat that can keep you warm but is also not too heavy. This one fits the bill perfectly and goes with anything. Could you ask for anything more?
The outfit
The above outfit is a mixture of smart and casual. I was travelling through London and I met up with Haydy to have a bite to eat. Before we headed to Wagamama, we stopped at St Dunstan-in-the-East which is an old church near the Tower of London for a bit of a photo shoot. As I was spending most of my day travelling, I opted for a comfortable outfit. My jeans are my trusty black skinnies from New Look which I wear all the time. I couldn’t resist wearing my Morris & Co x H&M blouse which I was lucky enough to pick up in store last week. I love William Morris so I just had to have a piece from the collection. Of course I had to wear my yellow Fila Trainers as they haven’t been off my feet since I bought them last week. I finished the outfit off with a basic black beret from Primark and a quilted shoulder bag which was also from Fashion World.
Have you got a thing for coats as well? What have you been wearing this autumn?
