Now we’re able to travel again, I’m excited that I have a couple of trips booked. I’m going away twice over the next couple of months and will only be taking hand luggage. I do this to keep the cost down, so I always make sure that I only pack the essentials. It can be so easy to go overboard with your packing but I think that I’ve managed to perfect packing light now!

Taking less liquids
As I will only have hand luggage, I am limited on the amount of liquids that I can take. I always try to make swaps to solid products in lieu of liquids. One product that I will definitely be taking with me is an aluminium-free deodorant. This is a solid stick deodorant from Schmidts which is a brand I’ve been loyal to for around a year now. I have recently picked up the Lime and Bergamot scent which smells so fresh!
Another product that I swap when travelling is Shampoo. I have been using solid shampoos for a while now as I have found that they are a lot better for my hair. For my upcoming trips, I’ve decided to try out the Greenum Melon shampoo bar. These are so much easier to transport – you don’t have to worry about leakage in your bag!
Limiting makeup products
In the past, I have been guilty of taking way too much makeup away with me. I often find that when I’m on holiday, I can’t be bothered with too much makeup anyway. So, I like to narrow it down to just a few key products that are small and easy to use.
I feel like I don’t look right without filling in my eyebrows, so I always have to take an eyebrow pencil with me. I’ll also go for a concealer, mascara, BB cream and powder. It’s always best to keep things simple, especially if you’re somewhere warm!

Decanting beauty products
I can’t leave my skincare behind, so I always choose to decant anything from a big bottle into something smaller. However, if I have a smaller item like my Clinique eye cream, then that is already a great size to take away. I used to just buy travel size products for holidays, but it’s so much better to stick with your regular routine.
