My favourite products for a natural look

Recently, I’ve been choosing to go for a more natural look when doing my makeup. As the weather has been quite warm in England, I’ve found that putting less products on my face has been ideal. I have been using a simple colour correcting cream as a a base over my SPF and then any other makeup is very minimal. I love having my natural skin showing through my makeup which is something you don’t get when you wear high coverage foundations.

Face

When I’m going for a more natural look, I like to use a translucent powder to set my makeup. I find that a translucent powder sets my makeup perfectly without looking too cakey or heavy. The powder that I’ve been using recently is the Rimmel Insta Fix & Matte translucent powder. I apply this with a powder brush from Wet & Wild and it leaves my skin looking flawless. As it is translucent, this powder is suitable for most skin tones and it blends into your skin perfectly.

Even though I am going for a minimal look, I still like to add a bit of colour into my face. I don’t use any bronzer when I’m going for a natural look, I just stick to blusher and a bit of highlight. The blusher that I have been using over the past few weeks is the Catrice Blush Box Glowing + Multicolour illuminating blush. I have got the shade Dolce Vita which is the perfect warm pink but isn’t too bright on my pale skin. It has a subtle highlight built in which really helps to brighten my face up. I love the fact that it isn’t too bright as sometimes it can be easy to apply too much blusher and look a bit too made up.

Eyes

On my eyes, I’ve been using just one eyeshadow as I don’t want too much fuss. I’ve recently been loving the Wet n Wild Color Icon creamy eyeshadow. It has a cream texture which is really easy to apply with just a finger. I also just use a waterproof mascara to finish off the look. I have been having my lashes lifted recently, which means that I don’t need to curl them anymore. A couple of layers of mascara and they look amazing! I have a couple of waterproof mascaras that I switch between, my favourites are from Essence though. It’s great to find a cheaper brand that are such high quality!
