March Favourites

I feel like I’ve tried a lot of great new beauty products in March. It seems like a lot of people are heavily influenced by TikTok at the moment and I’m no exception. A few of these items are things that I’ve seen on there and have had to pick up for myself to try.

Skincare

First of all, I’ve been really trying to look after my skin. I’ve mentioned before that I’ve been suffering from break outs but I have also been noticing some fine lines and wrinkles. I have decided to up my skincare game and tackle this head on. Peptides are an important ingredient in any anti-aging skincare. They stimulate the production of elastin and collagen and restore the skin’s youthful appearance. I have seen a lot of people recommend peptide products on TikTok, so I did a bit of research. The Revolution Skincare Multi Peptide serum had some great reviews, so I chose to try that. This serum is to be used after cleansing and toning, but before any moisturiser. I have been applying this each evening before bed and again in the morning. I haven’t been using it long enough to give a thorough review, but so far I am liking how it makes my skin feel.

Make Up

One product that has recently gone viral on TikTok is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara. There was a video that caused a bit of drama and got people talking about the mascara – so much so that it sold out everywhere. I managed to get my hands on it and have been using it for a few weeks now. I have found that it gives a great amount of length to my short lashes and lasts all day. It can be a bit of a struggle to remove, so you need to make sure you use a proper eye makeup remover. I’ll definitely be repurchasing this!

Another favourite makeup product is the Nars Orgasm X blusher. The Nars Orgasm blusher was a cult favourite back in the day and I own the original. Orgasm X is a stronger, more vibrant coral colour but is just as glowy as the original. I find that this sticks around all day and doesn’t wear off as fast as some blushers do. It’s definitely worth the price and I will be investing in the full sized product when this one runs out. Although I don’t think that will be anytime soon, you only need a tiny amount of product on your brush.
