Anyone else feel like this sudden change in weather is wreaking havoc on your skin? I’ve suddenly got started getting really dry skin and we’ve only just gone into autumn! One of the worst places for dry skin is my face. I get patches around my nose and on my cheeks. Usually, I’ll combat this with a good night moisturiser and I’ll do a face mask once a week. One place that I’ve noticed is getting dry though, is around my eyes. This is a new one for me and I really don’t want to end up with wrinkles, so I’ve been trying out some eye masks to combat the dry spots.
Why use eye masks?
Using an under eye mask will help to nourish and hydrate your skin. In turn, this will fight off any wrinkles/crows feet. They’re usually more suited to the sensitive skin of your under eyes than normal sheet masks. You simply apply them to your under eye area and leave for 15-20 minutes. I have tried a few new ones recently and have generally been using them once a week.
Tony Moly Panda’s Dream
One of the first eye masks that I tried out was the Tony Moly Panda’s Dream radiance mask. I loved this one as it was actually two black circles, which made me look like a panda. I love a novelty product that actually works too! After spending a couple of days in London, I felt like my skin needed a bit of a pick me up, so I used these. Apart from making me look like a panda, they worked really well.
Korika SciBeauty
The next eye mask that I tried out was the Korika SciBeauty K-Beauty eye patch mask. Unlike the Tony Moly ones which went over your eyes as well, these were two clear patches which are designed to sit underneath. I found that these had a lot of liquid on them, which was great because they seemed to be really hydrating. They applied really easily and there was no chance of them falling off my eyes. My skin felt really smooth and nourished when I took them off.
Kocostar Eye Patch
Finally, we have the Kocostar Princess Eye Patch which is more of a jelly texture. These feel great, especially if you put them in the fridge before you use them. They’re lovely and cooling and I feel like they really brighten up my under eye area.
